Chiefland graduate recognized at Santa Fe

Chiefland High School graduate Roger Sliney was selected as a Santa Fe College Ambassador for the next school year.

Sliney was recognized as one of the top students at Santa Fe and passed an intense interview process to be picked as one of the top representatives of the school.

Sliney joins 15 other students from throughout the state to be part of the Student Ambassador Program.

In the three-round interview process, candidates went through group interviews, individual presentations and interviews and teamwork activites.

As a member of the Student Ambassador Program, Sliney will serve as a representative of the school and student body as a marketing and recruitment representative. the ambassadors work with faculty, staff, students and members of the community to promote Santa Fe and its programs and services.

In addition, Sliney will be assisting with orientation, registration, recruitment, high-school visits, phone-a-thons, campus tours, special events, community service, and speaking engagements.

Sliney and the other ambassadors will earn a full scholarship (books included) for the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 terms.
