Chiefland FFA hosts fishing tourney

The Chiefland Future Farmers of America Alumni is hosting its third saltwater fishing tournament on April 16. Registration is April 15 with a Captain's Dinner at 6 p.m. at the Chiefland High School Agricultural Building. Rules and guidelines will be covered and any question answered as well as door prizes being awarded. Participants can fish where ever they prefer with the weigh-in at the agricultural building from 2:30-4 p.m. on Saturday.

There will be a $100 entry fee for each two-person boat and $25 for each additional participant. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Largest redfish ($300), largest speckled trout ($300) and most overall weight combining the first two categories ($500). All prizes will be based on a two-person limit and must adhere to state laws. Entry forms are available at the Chiefland High School office, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Chiefland FFA Chapters.
