The Chiefland City Commission meets tonight (Monday, July 8) at 6 p.m. at City Hall and is holding a budget workshop on the 2013-14 budget following the regular meeting.
The city commissioners have been warned on more than one occasion by auditor Robert Beauchamp that it is spending more than its revenues and it is using up the city's "rainy day" reserve funds.
At the same time, the city commission has lowered the property tax millage rate.
