n CFCC To present "35 Years Later: Good bye Vietnam"
Central Florida Community College will present “35 Years Later: Good-Bye Vietnam,” a retrospective and contemporary look at the era through the eyes of former and current CFCC employees and author Alivia Tagliaferri.
The event will be held on Tuesday, April 27, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Webber Center at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road, and is a Global Conversations presentation of the CFCC Council for Diversity and Global Understanding.
“35 Years Later” will combine the perspectives of current and former college personnel with direct involvement to Vietnam with the contemporary issues facing veterans today.
Participants will include Frank Rasbury, former member of the CFCC District Board of Trustees, who served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970, and Chuck Hiatt, associate professor of economics whose tour of duty was from 1970 to 1972. The men will share their Vietnam experiences and the memories they generate today.
