Dr. Charles R. Dassance, president of the College of Central Florida since November 1996, has informed the District Board of Trustees he will retire this summer. Dassance, who will be 66 in April, indicated that this was the most difficult decision of his 44 years as a community college educator.
“The college is doing well and after nearly 15 years as president, I decided this was the right time for the college to transition to new leadership,” he said.
