The Chiefland FFA Alumni raised $6,100 at its annual chili cook-off and cake auction on Friday, Feb. 14.
There were at least 100 cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes, snacks and other sweets donated to the event along with a big field of more than a dozen chilis for judges to consider.

The Chiefland FFA Alumni Chapter hosts its annual chili competition and cake auction starting at 5 p.m. at the Chiefland High School Ag Building. The proceeds fund the chapter's projects for the senior and junior chapters.
Cost is $15 per entry with the hot dog and chili meal included. Entry forms must be received by Feb. 10. Entry must be a minimum of 1 gallon of chili so everyone gets a taste. A panel of three judges will determine the official winners in the following classes: Spiciest / Hottest; Most Original and Best Overall.
Meal starts serving at 5:30 p.m.
