CAAA baseball opening day March 15

The Chiefland Area Athletic Association is looking forward to opening day of its youth baseball and softball seasons on Saturday, March 15.

Opening ceremonies will start at 10 a.m.

"The VFW Flag Corps will be there,"said CAAA president Wayne Weatherford. "There will be barbecue dinners. We'll have baseball all day."

Weatherford said signups are still a little off.

"We thought the late fee would get everyone to sign up a little early, but they're still coming in wanting to play,"Weatherford explained.
