The Bronson Eagles faced off against the Pierson-Taylor Wildcats in the Eagles’ aerie on Friday, Oct. 11. The Eagles received the opening kick off; it was caught handily by running back Brock Brower.

This was followed shortly thereafter by Bronson’s first touchdown of the evening — scored by quarterback Tyler Beauchamp. Running back Bobby Florence scored yet another touchdown just before the end of the first quarter; there was no two point conversion after the touchdown.

The boys from Bronson played one heck of a game. No. 2 Brock Brower gained an astounding 46 yards in the second quarter. Defensive lineman, No. 72 Brian Burnett rescued a fumble in the end zone and scored yet another touchdown for the Eagles.

At half time the score was 12-14, Pierson-Taylor leading.

In the third quarter the Eagles came back rejuvenated, determined and strong. Two more touchdowns made by No. 2 Brock Brower and another touchdown by No. 3 Gary Mitchell gave the Eagles a 13-point lead that they held on to until the final buzzer sounded. The Eagles defeated the Wildcats by a score of 30-17.

Running back Gary Mitchell was interviewed on Monday and he stated that the Eagles had a good win over the Wildcats on Friday.

“The Eagles started off slow in the first half and picked it up by wining in the second half.” Defensive tackle Dustin Landgraver stated “The football game went well. I didn’t do as well as I should have. We slacked in the first half but picked it up towards the end of the game.”

This was the first time in 11 years that the Eagles have had 5 victories in one season.
