The Bronson Chamber of Commerce membership elected new officers for the 2011-2012 year. From left, Charlotte Dunford, treasurer; Laci McGinty, secretary; Mike Schenk, vice president; and John Meeks, president. The election came during the group's monthly meeting and barbecue dinner. The Chamber also announced the first recipient of the Tommy Dunford Scholarship for Higher Education. Alexander Bauder, of Bronson High School, was chosen because he intends to pursue a degree at the College of Central Florida and because he wants to start a business in Bronson upon graduation, according to President John Meeks.
