Braves win first two games of season

The Chiefland Middle School baseball team improved its record to 2-0 with an 18-1 hammering of visiting Bronson last Saturday.

Kody Plemmons led the way with two doubles. Travis Wain had two singles. Jeremy Fisher had a triple. Derek Allen had a double. Five players had a single –Aaron Beachaump, Alden Davis, Kaleb Calpin, Shaquille Patterson and Tim Reidy.

Chiefland used three pitchers. Allen and Caplin each pitched two innings. Patterson threw a frame.

CHIEFLAND MIDDLE 15, RUTH RAINS 6 –The Braves wonm their season opener Feb. 7.

Kody Plemmons threw 3 2/3 innings of hitless relief.

CMS scored nine runs in the first inning.

On the game, Kaleb Caplin led the way with three hits. Alden Davis and Plemmons each had a hit.
