Skip the groceries, give blood in Bronson

In about the time it would take to shop for groceries for a week or knock out a crossword puzzle a blood donor can save a life.  The opportunity to skip shopping for groceries and to donate blood will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the Bronson Community Blood Drive. The LifeSouth Bloodmobile will be at the Levy County Road Department from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., the Levy County Sheriff's Office from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and at the Levy County Courthouse from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Donors must be 17 or older, or 16 with parental consent, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is also required.  Donors get cookies and a cool T-shirt with the slogan "Giving Blood...is the Good Life." Roll up your sleeve this summer LifeSouth really needs your help.
