Four-score and seven children raised heifers to compete in championship animal husbandry at the Suwannee River Fair Livestock Show and Sale.

This year, the heifer show happened March 15 in a fair that was spread across three weekends for the first time in the fair's 50-plus years.

Briana Bishop of Flatwood Friends 4-H Club earned the Grand Champion title from the field of 87. Bishop is home-schooled. Erin Jones of Wilcox 4-H Club scored the Reserve Champion title. Jones is a student at Trenton Middle School.
