Dennis Radice, a professor at Central Florida Community College-Levy Center, says the same applies for GEDs.

He's noticed a recent wave of locals paying hundreds of dollars for online GEDs.

The people who did it said it's a quick and easy way to get that all-important piece of paper.

Radice says those pieces of paper are worthless.
