Basic pistol class raises funds for slain Dixie deputy's family

A basic pistol class, hosted By Levy County Sheriffs Office, that can qualify an individual for Florida Concealed weapons permit will be held Feb. 6 at 8 a.m. at the Levy County Sheriffs Office Classroom, 9150 N.E. 80th Ave., Bronson.

The cost is $65 with proceeds benefitting the family of slain Dixie County Sheriff's Capt. Chad Reed. Reed was killed in the line of duty last week leaving behind a wife and two children.
