A concerned citizen's report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of Northeast 75th Street shortly after midnight on Sept. 23 has resulted in the arrest of an Archer man on two counts of burglary, three counts of grand theft and three counts criminal mischief, according to a Levy County Sheriff's Department press release.
When Deputy Ella Anderson arrived and spoke with the driver, Brandi Brock, the young woman said she was returning home to Archer after visiting a friend in the area and her car over heated.
Anderson kept an eye out for the vehicle and later spotted the car run a stop sign. Anderson did a stop and noticed a male passenger, Kenneth William Fogg, 39, of Archer was in the front seat. Anderson also noticed copper coil from an air conditioning unit in the back seat of the car. A check found Brock was dropping off Fogg, and communicating with him via two-way radio while he worked on air conditioners.
The sheriff's office release said Fogg may be connected to over a dozen A/C thefts in the area and the investigation continues.
His bond is $225,000.
