Four Chiefland High baseball players have received attention in the All-State selections.
Senior pitcher Ory Pitts came first, as he was named to Class 3A first-team.
Pitts was the Indians pitching ace in the 2008 season, finishing with an 8-2 record. He is set to pitch at Pensacola Junior College in '09.
Three players from the 18-5 Indian squad were Honorable Mention selections on the All-State team.
Junior pitcher Jeremy Hayes made the grade after going 6-0. Sophomore outfielder Clenton Wasson was selected. He led the Indians in hitting, batting over .400. Freshman third baseman Brent Slaughter batted near .400.
Coach Kyle Parnell is certainly happy to have the latter three back as cornerstones for the '09 Chiefland High team.
