Three people were injured seriously enough to eb sent to Shands Hospital in Gainesville following a three-vehicle crash at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, on County Road 320 by the Manatee Jiffy, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Injured were Chiefland residents Attie Sevilla Williams, 80, the driver of a 2009 Nissan Versa and her passenger Christopher Williams, 31, and Bruce Gregory Hancock, 63, who was driving a 1996 Chevy S10 pickup.

Hancock was in front as he and Attie Williams traveled eastbound on CR320 approaching Northwest 80th Court. An unmarked Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission vehicle towing a boat on a trailer was turning off Northwest 80th Court heading west on CR320 as Hancock slowed to turn into the Manatee Jiffy store located on the corner.

Attie Williams' vehicle struck the rear of Hancock's vehicle pushing it into the westbound lane of CR320 where it struck the front of the boat and trailer and stopped. Williams' vehicle continued eastbound for another 175 feet before coming to rest on CR 320.

The FWC vehicle, a 2009 Chevy pickup, was driven by Jordan Kyle Hilliard, 28,  and Joseph Daniel Jankins, 29, was the passenger. Neither were inkured in the wreck.

FHP Sgt. David K. Roberts noted in the report that there were no skidmarks on the roadway, all involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts and that alcohol is not considered a factor.

Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
