The College of Central Florida recognized 11 students who completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program at the Levy Center on Tuesday, May 24.
Receiving Certificates of Completion were Tiffany Bukszar, Jennifer Carranza, Justina Farnell, Robert Kreinbihl, Susan Kyser, Tammy Legendre, Gail Loyd, Ginger Nutter, Christina Plummer, Stevie Shell and Shelly Theorgood.
The CNA program prepares students to work in the health care field as a nursing assistant and to take and pass the Florida Certified Nursing Assistant exam. The program consists of 80 hours of classroom and lab training as well as 40 hours of clinical experience in a local health care facility. The students attended Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Trenton for their clinical experience.
All classes, except clinical training, are held at the CF Levy Center, 114 Rodgers Blvd. in Chiefland. A high school diploma or GED is not required.
