Wilmer Ray Lee, 69, of Old Town, died on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida.
Mr. Lee was born and lived his lifetime in Dixie County. He retired from Dixie County after more than 14 years of service. Prior to that he worked in the logging industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching western movies, doing mechanic work on trucks and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Isa Lee of Old Town; children, Johnny Ray Rocco of Old Town, Marlene Brewster of Racelle, W.Va., Alvin (Debra) Rocco of Tenn., Horace (Barbara) Rocco of Old Town, Beverly Snellgrove of Gainesville, and Heather (T.J.) Mead of Old Town; brothers, Archie Lee and Henry Lee, both of Old Town and Jr. Lee of Kansas; sisters, Barbara Stutts of Cross City, JoAnn Gather of Ocala, Donna Watkins of Belleview, Linda Mae Liles of Old Town, Mary Ruth Clark of Monticello, and Ethel Mae Brown of Victoria, Texas; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ruby Lee and granddaughter, Brittany Snellgrove.
A visitation will be held at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, in Cross City, on Wednesday, July 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. No other services are planned at this time.
