Allie Mae Beville, Dixie County Supervisor of Elections

Allie Mae Beville, 75, of Old Town, died Monday, July 26, 2010, at her home after a long illness.  Mrs. Beville was born in Cross City to Solomon and Georgia Lord.  

She was the Dixie County Supervisor of Elections for 15 years.  Prior to that, she served in the Dixie County School System for 19 years in the school office in purchasing.  She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting with her friends and serving the people of Dixie County.

She is survived by son, Dell Peacock of Cross City; daughter, Pam (Robert) Brannin of Cross City; grandchildren, Tracey Brannin Groom, Kelly Brannin, Kyle Lord, Andrew Mosley, Austin Peacock and Allison Peacock; great-grandchildren, Sydney Groom and Landon Lord; and sisters, Ina Keen, Ruth Tyre and Lee Dyals, all of Old Town.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Odell Peacock and Willard Beville, brothers, Jack Lord, Albert Lord and Willie Lord.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29,  at 3 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Brown and the Rev. Billy Robson officiating.  Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery at New Prospect Baptist Church.  A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 28,  at the funeral home between 6 and 8 p.m.   

Arrangements have been placed under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City.
